Albany, N.Y. — A mother is suing Albany Medical Center after the death of her month-old baby in April, claiming her loss was “entirely avoidable.”
Shamaya Jackson, 35, who lives in Albany, said her daughter, Milani Finch, was deemed healthy at her one-month pediatrician visit, but days later she was dead. Albany Medical Center, where she was treated, is a level one trauma center that cares for the region’s sickest and most acute patients.
