The Association of Allied Health Professionals is calling for ‘transparency and action’ on issues it says is threatening the stability of the province’s public health care system.
AAHP President Gordon Piercey is accusing the health authority of “failing to follow through on several key promises” including establishing a new pay scale for health professionals.
Piercey says “postponements, delays and lack of direction” have left his members “feeling ignored and undervalued.”
The association also has “significant concerns” about the Education Accord, and cannot endorse it until “there is concrete assurance that its implementation will be properly resourced, strategically planned, and aligned” with the capacity of the workforce.
