GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - People in Green Bay enjoyed an outdoor festival at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay on Saturday, celebrating the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15th to October 15th.

Organizers of the event say it continues to grow, attracting 12,000 people last year.

The event had live music, art, food, and even a car show.

The festival was created to help highlight Latino community members in northeast Wisconsin, and organizers say it continues to have a positive impact.

“For us, it’s really to bring the entire community, not just Latinos, to come together, share the culture, have fun, that’s what it’s all about,” says Maria Padilla, a committee member.
