GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The second annual Hmong Pre-New Year Festival continued on Sunday in Brown County.

The two-day festival is held at the Brown County Fairgrounds, with 1,000 to 1,500 people attending the event.

The event is a celebration to bring people together, give thanks for health and prepare for the Hmong New Year.

The festival included multiple sporting, dancing, and singing competitions.

“I’m so happy that everybody came to support us. And really bring the young people to see what’s going on, so they can learn and they can make sure we help each other stay together,” says organizer Tim Kong.

The festival takes place until 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The Hmong New Year is on November 15th, and a free celebration is being held at the Kress Event Center.
