While the Unlimited Class reportedly passed up the 2025 National Championship Races at its new venue in Roswell because of the logistics of getting large crews and massive amounts of equipment, including spare engines, logistic are not much of a problem for the STOL Drag racers.

Some just hop in their airplanes and fly to the races.

That's what Aaron Greear did.

“I'm from Washington State, a little town called Ellensburg, Washington," Greear said in his pit stall Saturday, “So, it took me about 14 hours to get here and probably got about a 16-hour flight to get home.”

He said he is one of three planes that flew to Roswell, with the rest being trailered in. His plane is a 2014 Just Aircraft Highlander, which he's had it for about three years Greear said, and he has been competing in it
