Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers has been nursing a knee injury all week that left his status for Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers in doubt. With Bowers unable to practice Thursday and Friday, his fantasy managers were forced to find Sunday backup plans in the event he'd miss the game. Thankfully for them, those backup plans may remain just that, as Bowers' status is finally trending in the right direction.
Bowers is listed as questionable for Monday's game, but after practicing Saturday, Raiders coach Pete Carroll said Bowers looked terrific and he expects the Pro Bowler to play.
Bowers was more non-committal on his availability, saying "I don't know, it's hard to say," when asked about whether he'll play. So, even with Carroll's optimism, fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation.
Who is Brock Bowers backup on the Raiders depth chart?
The Raiders' backup tight end is Michael Mayer, who had four catches for 38 yards in Week 1.
