BOZEMAN — Justin Lamson recognized some of the missed opportunities against No. 2 South Dakota State.
The Montana State quarterback — who finished 18 of 23 for 123 yards passing and added 96 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in the loss to the Jackrabbits on Sept. 7 — scrambling for extra yards was one of the Bobcats’ most productive plays offensively against SDSU. Lamson credited his tendency to escape the pocket in that game to facing a “really good” defense.
He also acknowledged he took off too early a few times; MSU head coach Brent Vigen pointed to the same thing when looking back at the final drive of regulation .
“Sometimes you see something and you’re like, ‘Oh, I should take off,’ but it’s not actually there,” Lamson added Mond
