A forensic team is in a Thornaby street following reports of an incident. Detectives can be seen carrying out door to door enquiries in Hartington Close and the surrounding area on Sunday afternoon, September 14.

Witnesses say emergency services were first spotted in the street at around 4pm on Saturday, September 13, and police have remained outside a property overnight. Photographs from the scene on Sunday show a number of officers in attendance as well as a crime scene investigation van.

A forensic team in white overalls can be seen carrying out enquiries and taking photographs inside and outside of a property on the street. Officers can also be seen going door to door and appear to be speaking to residents about accessing CCTV footage.
