COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning.

Deputies said they responded to a call for a shooting around 2:20 a.m. at 1050 Southern Dr. in the area of the Redpoint Apartments.

According to RCSD, deputies located a victim after arriving, with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body.

While on scene tending to the victim, RCSD confirmed a second victim was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

EMS responded and transported both victims to a local hospital, according to law enforcement.

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and updates will be made when available.
