STORRS, Conn. — The University of Connecticut 's police department said a DoorDash driver attempted to sexually assault a person during a delivery Saturday.

UConn spokesperson Stephanie Reitz verified a crime alert from police that was shared on Reddit Sunday.

Police noted in the alert that the incident happened at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at the Hilltop Apartments parking lot, located on the Storrs campus.

The delivery driver, described as a 30-year-old man, allegedly "enticed a victim into his vehicle while completing a delivery." The report noted that the driver then assaulted the victim.

The victim got to safety as the driver left the area in a 1998 gold Toyota Camry, police noted.
