Steelers' Kaleb Johnson explains kickoff gaffe after benching: ‘I just made a mistake’

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson rued his special teams mistake that led to his benching off kickoff returns. Speaking after the game, Johnson took responsibility for the mishap, though he never gave a clear indication of if he knew the rules.

“If I wasn’t sure, if I was sure, (it) doesn’t matter,” Johnson said. “I still gotta do what I gotta do, and I still gotta go in there and execute the way it needs to be executed.”
