In what turned out to be a field-goal contest for most of the night, the Atlanta Falcons overcame red zone issues to dismantle the Minnesota Vikings , 22-6, on "Sunday Night Football."

Here are five takeaways from Sunday's nightcap:

Falcons dominate from start to finish

The score does not reflect how dominant Atlanta was on Sunday night. Despite only going 1-for-5 in the red zone, Atlanta used its tenacious defense (198 yards allowed) and strong rushing attack (218 yards) — 143 of which were from RB Bijan Robinson — to keep Minnesota out of the end zone and stay in control.

The Falcons forced two interceptions from Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy, including this one from Falcons safety Xavier Watts to seal the deal with 2:35 to play.

Falcons pick off McCarthy again!
