PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Look for a warm start to the new week with a forecast high of 104 degrees in Phoenix today. That’s about three degrees above normal for this time of year in the Valley.

Expect sunny skies and light winds today, and about the same in the forecast for tomorrow for a slightly warmer Tuesday at 105 degrees. Morning lows will continue to run in the 70s. A weather pattern change begins midweek for Arizona.

Tropical Storm Mario will work its way northwest along the coast of the Baja Peninsula over the next few days. While landfall is not expected, some of the moisture with this storm could push into the Desert Southwest. There is a lot of uncertainty with this scenario, and the forecast will be refined over the next few days as it becomes more clear just how much moisture
