It was another hot day across North Texas; the high reached 95 degrees at DFW Airport. This is well above average; the typical high for this year is 89 degrees.
The heat is expected to stay on throughout this week, with lows a couple of degrees above normal and highs will follow the same trend.
The high temperatures combined with enough moisture available in the atmosphere may bring a few isolated showers and storms in the late afternoon and early evening. Most of North Texas will stay dry, and all activity will clear up by the time the sunsets.
A more active weather pattern is in the forecast by the end of the work week.
An upper-level low and two shortwaves are expected to bring additional opportunities for rain starting Thursday and lingering through the weekend.
