Residents in Aberdeen are being urged to prepare for flooding as the winter months arrive.
Aberdeen City Council warned that flooding to residential properties can happen very quickly, damage people’s homes, and frequently disrupts travel, with flooding also happening more often due to changes in weather patterns.
It comes as severe weather makes its way across the country today, with a 600-mile wide wall of rain descending on the UK.
New maps from Ventusky showed bracing winds whipping around the UK from 1am today (Monday, September 15) with as much as 10mm of rain falling in parts of the country.
