GAFFNEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office said it has identified human remains that were found in August.
Officials said human bones were found buried off Robbs School Road in Gaffney on Aug. 22.
After using past medical history, x-rays and other forensic tests, the coroner said they were able to identify the victim as 47-year-old Kevin Scott Brookshire.
The coroner’s office said Brookshire went missing from his home in Chesnee. He told friends he was going to Tennessee but never arrived.
The date of Brookshire’s death and the cause and manner are still under investigation.
