Allen County will have 53 vote centers open to all local registered voters instead of 110 traditional precincts for 2026 elections.
Allen County Election Board members unanimously supported the move at today's meeting that dozens of citizens attended.
Many also attended the first public hearing a month ago, and most said they didn't oppose using vote center, but they said the county needed more. The board initially proposed 39 vote centers.
A week ago, the board released an updated list with 14 more centers.
Voters may cast ballots at any vote center in the county, instead of being limited to an assigned precinct near their residence.
