Voters can cast their ballot in the Ward 8 byelection , starting Monday morning at 10 a.m.

Advance polls are open Sept. 15 to 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 192/193 at Hamilton City Hall, 71 Main St. W.

There are 26 candidates running in the byelection to fill the vacant west Mountain council seat , which was vacated by now-Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas Liberal MP John-Paul Danko following the federal election in April.

There will also be advance polls open at five locations Sept. 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voting day is Sept. 22 and polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the same five locations.
