A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant who earlier fled from police in St. Catharines was arrested Sunday after authorized information about his location.
At 12:20 p.m. Sept. 6, Niagara Regional Police were called to a business on Welland Avenue.
Police said when officers arrived, the man got on a motorcycle and sped away.
A 40-year-old St. Catharines resident who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was then additionally wanted for fleeing from police, dangerous driving and driving while prohibited.
On Sunday, police learned the man was at a home in the area of Vine and Carlton streets.
Uniform officers went to the home, and the suspect tried to run away, police said. He was arrested after a brief pursuit.
