MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — After months of waiting, we now know when the new West Shore Costco store will be opening its doors.

abc27 news first reported back in March 2025 that plans to open a new Costco store at 6717 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg were delayed after workers discovered an abundance of rocks during the excavation process.

This initial delay occurred months after Costco Wholesale had purchased the approximately 23-acre site in Mechanicsburg for $9.4 million.

Recently, Costco finally announced the official opening date for the new store.
