Seven motorists were arrested over the weekend on allegations of intoxicated driving during a state police crackdown on area roadways.
"Football season is in full swing, and some fans made the decision to drive after consuming alcoholic beverages," according to the Indiana State Police.
"Speeding was again an issue with three drivers being cited for reckless driving, as well as unsafe lane movement, following too closely, and driving while suspended to name a few," according to the ISP report.
The department's midnight shift reportedly made 184 contacts, and issued 90 citations and 94 warnings.
"Troopers also made 10 criminal arrests and charged those 10 defendants with 17 total criminal charges," according to ISP.
