The missing headstone of the famed tiger-keeping tattoo artist Roy Boy Cooper has been returned.
The stone was discovered missing last week by tattoo artists with Easy Tiger Tattoos in Merrillville, who were visiting Cooper's grave at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Watseka, Illinois last week to pay their respects and sketch the headstone.
Cooper's wife Debra "Dangerous Deb" Cooper was heartbroken at the news. She filed a police report and put out a reward for the return of the tombstone, no questions asked, in a post that circulated widely around the country among the tattoo artist community.
"I'm just so glad they returned it and had a heart," she said. "It's not damaged as far as I know."
