SOMERS, Conn. (WTNH) — Construction on a playground being built in honor of the four children lost in a Somers house fire in 2024 began on Monday, the first selectman said.
Crews began construction on Monday, with the project being expected to be completed on Wednesday.
Parents helped with the construction on Monday morning.
Four children from the Koropatkin family, Lukas, Genevieve, Benjamin and Archer, died in the fire in January, 2024.
The playground will be a reflection of the children. Their favorite colors will be spread throughout the space.
