A South Carolina Freedom Caucus member and lawmaker formally requested a special legislative session over posts made by Clemson University professors following Charlie Kirk's death.
State Rep. Jordan Pace (R-Berkeley) wrote a letter to South Carolina House Speaker Murrell Smith and Senate President Thomas Alexander on Sept. 13, requesting they call special session. Pace wrote that Clemson University has "failed to act" against three faculty members who have been accused of publicly praising the killing of Charlie Kirk.
