LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested Sunday after police say he broke into a home with a knife.
Just after 6:15 p.m., officers with the Lincoln Police Department were sent to the area of Gregory and Judson streets, near North First and Adams streets.
According to LPD, the victim reported an unknown man had entered her family’s home armed with a knife, pointed it at their dogs and then stole a bicycle.
While officers were on their way to the home, they saw a man matching the description riding the bike nearby.
Officers told him to stop but he kept riding, LPD said.
According to LPD, he was eventually arrested about a mile away.
While searching him, officers found several medications — including a prescription bottle — that were taken from the victim’s home.
