HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A woman was arrested on a domestic violence charge after police say she injured a man with a knife over the weekend.
The Huntsville Police Department said on Saturday, around 5:30 p.m., officers arrived at a possible cutting in the 1900 block of Sparkman Drive.
Officers located a man with injuries consistent with being struck with a knife. The victim had injuries that were considered non-life-threatening.
Officers continued their investigation, learning the victim was in a relationship and got into an altercation inside the residence, where the offender struck him with a knife, causing injuries.
HPD said Shelonda Marie Walton, 46, of Huntsville, was arrested for second-degree domestic violence with a knife.
She is currently being held on a $13,000 bond.
