The Great Minnesota Get-Together — a.k.a. the Minnesota State Fair — has come and gone with a reminder that despite our differences Americans share a common desire for the same things in life. From the parents and kids enjoying the food and rides and seeing the biggest boar to winning prizes at the midway to the many elected officials who swing by to say hi and meet people, we all want good health and happiness.
However, for many, good health has become increasingly out of reach due to the high cost of health care. Prescription drug prices in particular are financially crushing Americans, especially seniors.
As a registered nurse, I see how many struggle to access their needed medications. Often, patients like seniors must choose between caring for their health and paying for food and ut
