SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- While the state is working with the consultant JE Dunn who designed an $825 million rejected prison plan, the state will re-bid each part of the proposed $650 million prison project.
"As required by law, every part of the construction project will be competitively bid through the state engineers’ website once the Legislature approves the plan," Gov. Larry Rhoden's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) website page said.
Rhoden updated the FAQ page his office recently created to answer questions about the proposed prison before the Sept. 23 legislative session.
The update answers more questions that were generated in two teleconferences Rhoden had on Sept. 9 with more than 70 lawmakers, according to a news release from his office.
