KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - University of Tennessee Athletics Director Danny White has promised to reevaluate fan entry into Neyland Stadium after fans complained of hours-long gridlock during Saturday’s matchup against Georgia.
“VolNation, I owe so many of you an apology,” White said in a post on social media. “The experience getting into Neyland yesterday was not acceptable.”
He went on to say that the university’s plan didn’t shake out how it was expected to, which was followed by a slew of complaints on X, formerly Twitter.
“It is proven to be difficult to predict traffic flow with new gates given our tight footprint,” White said. “Thank you to those that have made me aware of the situation on this platform.”
