KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Before the Vols take the field against Florida, MEDIC Regional Blood Center is gearing up to compete against LifeSouth Community Blood Bank in a September blood drive.

The two blood banks compete each year, looking to see whether Tennessee or Florida fans can donate more blood. This year, the drive runs from Sept. 22 to Sept. 26.

Those who donate blood, platelets or ALYX also have the chance to grab a special t-shirt and coupons for Papa John’s, Salsarita’s, Texas Roadhouse and Denton’s.

While appointments aren’t needed, it’s a good idea. Those who want to set one up can check here or call 865-524-3074.
