A boy aged 15 was stabbed to death during a 'disturbance' involving others on a street in Manchester today, police have revealed.
A murder investigation has been launched after the tragedy in Moss Side . The teenager - who suffered multiple stab wounds - hasn't been named and no arrests have been made, Greater Manchester Police said.
A senior GMP officer called the murder 'an appalling act' as the force issued a major appeal for witnesses.
Police patrols in the area have been stepped up and enhanced stop and search powers have been authorised to last for 24 hours.
