AUBURN, Ala. —

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze expressed confidence in his team as they head into their SEC opener against Oklahoma, following a 3-0 start to the season.

Despite some areas for improvement, Freeze highlighted the Tigers’ offensive efficiency, defensive efforts and depth as key factors for their success so far.

“We’re very, very happy to be 3-0 heading into our SEC opener,” Freeze said. “Our kids did what they needed to do to win the football game Saturday. Offensively, zero penalties and zero turnovers — that’s a good way to start.”

Freeze praised Auburn’s ability to score on five of their first six possessions in their most recent game and noted improvements in special teams, particularly in kickoffs and field goal performance.
