Police are searching for a suspect in an apparent road rage incident turned into a shooting in Midlothian.
At around 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Chesterfield police responded to the 12200 block of Midlothian Turnpike for the report of a shooting. On scene, they found a man with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the road rage encounter occurred while the victim and the shooter were driving westbound on the road. When they arrived at the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Walmart Way, the suspect vehicle pulled up to the right side of the victim and fired a shot at the vehicle.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white Nissan Altima, which fled west along Midlothian Turnpike after the shot was fired.
