ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KCTV) - A man believed to have been behind an armed crime spree is behind bars after a day of violence.

The St. Joseph, Missouri, Police Department says that just after 7:25 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, law enforcement officials were called to an armed carjacking in the area of Olive and S. 24th St.

A probable cause statement filed in Buchanan County Circuit Court revealed that police had been called to the area earlier that morning with reports that an armed individual had been attempting to get into cars.

When first responders arrived, they said the victim reported he had been approached by a man who pulled a gun on him and stole his white 2014 Honda Accord.
