RAYVILLE, La. (KNOE) - Senator Cassidy announced that Louisiana would receive $11 billion in federal funding from the U.S Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA).
“Airports are critical to Louisiana’s economy, commerce, and tourism,” Senator Cassidy said in a press release.
This grant provides $585,000 for the reconstruction of 3,998 feet of Runway 18/36 at John H. Hooks Jr. Airport in Rayville.
The funding will also support safety upgrades, runway and taxi improvements, and terminal modernization projects at the airports in Lafayette, New Orleans, Reserve, Oakdale, and Baton Rouge.
