Hamilton County Schools announced new safety protocols for athletic events and public school board meetings, effective immediately.
For Friday night football, basketball, and other major athletic events, students must present a school-issued ticket or be verified through PowerSchool. Minors , under the age of 18, and not affiliated with participating schools, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Security screenings, including metal detector scans and bag checks , will be required. Only clear bags or those smaller than 4.5" x 6.5" will be allowed, and face coverings are prohibited . Spectators must remain in designated areas, and disruptive behavior may result in removal.
At school board meetings, attendance will be capped at 120 community members on a first-come ba
