BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Brooklyn man involved in a deadly crash in Gowanus on Sunday is facing a slew of charges, according to police.
Arturo Alberto Baez Cordero, 34, was killed in the three-car crash near 2nd Avenue and 9th Street in Brooklyn on Sunday, authorities announced.
Cordero, of New Jersey, was driving his Mercedes-Benz west on 9th Street just before 6:30 p.m. when 38-year-old Alexey Ivanov, driving a Honda Odyssey with two passengers in the car, smashed into him, police said.
Ivanov, of Brooklyn, allegedly drove through a stoplight and hit Cordero's car, causing Cordero to collide with another vehicle operated by a 49-year-old man.
Ivanov, along with his 64-year-old male and 38-year-old female passengers, was taken to a local hospital. The woman is said to be in critical
