Alabama State Troopers say an Athens man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck that happened in Limestone County on Saturday.
The wreck happened just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday on New Cut Road near Parker Road, about seven miles west of Athens.
According to troopers, August Q. Boyd, 24, was critically injured with the 2005 Hummer H2 he was driving, left the roadway and struck a tree. Boyd was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital where he later died form his injuries.
Troopers say Boyd was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
