Navy SEAL Foundation ambassadors are embarking on a 104-mile walk from Huntsville, Alabama, to Franklin, Tennessee, to raise funds for the elite Naval Special Warfare community. Their goal is to collect $1.5 million over the next two weeks.
The initiative, known as the Southern 100 for SEALs, aims to spotlight the sacrifices made by members of the Naval Special Warfare community.
Ted Gallagher, a Navy SEAL Foundation ambassador, explained, "when an event happens, an injury or death in the Naval Special Warfare community, what the Department of Defense, the Navy, doesn’t cover, we the foundation supplement and jump right in immediately."
