FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - That’s right, in exactly a week summer will transition into fall. Specifically, at 2:19 pm on Monday the 22nd. In the meantime, don’t expect summer to take an early break! It’s going to squeeze out as much heat as is typical of this time of year through the end of the week.

Each afternoon through Friday, expect sunshine with highs within a few degrees of 90º. Lows will be comfortable, too, in the 50s.

I’m watching late in the weekend for a frontal passage that could bring some showers/thunder our way, but timing and amounts are, predictably, in a flux at this range. At the very least, some rain looks possible in the next 7-8 days! Stay tuned.
