First Alert Forecast: Plenty of heat to end the week, as spotty showers and storms make a return

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Clouds and humidity continue to build as we head over the next few afternoons, giving us a better chance at some much needed rain.

One thing is for sure, and that is we will not be short on heat and humidity continuing through the remainder of the work week.

High temperatures will remain in the lower to middle 90s, but feel warmer at times as some of the deeper tropical moisture returns with our southerly flow.

As this begins to happen, the chance for showers and storms will increase as well, including for our Tuesday afternoon.

While not everyone will pick up on the rain and storms, where it does rain, it will bring cooler temperatures and some much needed rainfall for our grass and plants.
