FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Expect more of the same... sunshine & 80s! The mid-September warmth holds on for the workweek with highs running above average for this time of year (but we aren’t breaking any records here).

The more significant note with the warmth is the dry stretch. Many areas in 21Country are officially in a drought or abnormally dry, and that’s expected to intensify under the sunshine, warmth, and lack of rain. Modest rainfall is possible this weekend into early next week, but there are some mixed signals in our extended models on the best timing for that and duration.
