BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - A Binghamton man is facing two counts of attempted murder after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend and the man she was with.

Binghamton Police were called to 1 Hayden Street on the city's Westside on September 12th at around 6:10 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

They found an 18-year-old woman outside with a gunshot wound to her leg and a 20-year-old man who had multiple life-threatening wounds to his abdomen. Both were rushed to the hospital where the male victim underwent emergency surgery and was listed in critical condition on Friday.

Police say they arrested the woman's former boyfriend 20-year-old Avian Udelhofen and charged him with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm.
