WINDSOR N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - A local grocery store that has served the community for nearly 30 years is undergoing a transition that has some shoppers

The Big M supermarket in Windsor was initially supposed to close on September 6th, but it is now open until September 30th. Many Windsor residents expressed concern about losing the grocery store.

However, Big M Ownership says they are selling the store and are currently in talks with a buyer who plans to keep the supermarket and "Big M" name.

Ownership says a deal is being worked out with the landlord and they decided to push back the closing date through the end of the month so residents would still be able to shop there.

Despite the change in Windsor, the Big M location in Deposit will remain open under the same ownership.
