CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Patients waiting for a kidney or liver transplant can spend years on the list, but UVA Health is working to change that by highlighting the importance of living organ donation.

Anita K. Sites, manager of the living donor and pediatric transplant programs at UVA Health, said she believes living donation should be considered one of the first options.
