HICKMAN, Ky. (WSIL) -- Authorities in Hickman are investigating the discovery of human remains within the city limits on Monday.

The Hickman Police Department, in collaboration with the Fulton County Coroner’s Office, confirmed the remains are human. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is assisting to ensure a thorough investigation.

The Fulton County Coroner’s Office is also investigating the matter. Authorities are working to gather evidence and identify the person. Police said forensic experts will examine the remains to determine the circumstances.

Officials urge anyone with information to contact the Hickman Police Department or their local law enforcement agency. More information will be released as it becomes available.
