WASHINGTON, D. C. - Vice President JD Vance delivered an emotional tribute to slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Monday, filling in as host of Kirk’s radio show just days after Kirk was shot and killed in Utah.
Vance pledged to dismantle what he called “this incredibly destructive movement of left wing extremism” that he blamed for contributing to the assassination.
“Charlie was a joyful warrior for our country,” the Cincinnati Republican said during the two-hour broadcast from his White House office, with guests including White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., and conservative talk show host Tucker Carlson. “I don’t think that I’m alone in saying that Charlie was the smartest political operative I ever met.”
