URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) -- Community developers in Champaign County are asking for the public's input on a plan to improve pedestrian and bicyclist infrastructure.
The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is working on an update to the existing 2014 Champaign County Greenways & Trails Plan, titled the Champaign-Urbana Active Transportation Plan (C-U ATP). Active Transportation refers to any “self-propelled, human-powered transportation mode, including walking, bicycling, and mobility device use," and the plan aims to encourage active transportation and access to local parks.
