A multi-vehicle crash followed by fist fight on Hwy. 401 over the weekend

From a tanker truck-involved multi-vehicle crash to a chaotic fist fight, Hwy. 401 in Toronto was the scene of some major drama over the weekend.

OPP reported on Friday night around 11:15 p.m. that all westbound lanes on Hwy. 401, near Avenue Rd., were blocked due to a collision involving a tanker truck and multiple vehicles. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The highway was not fully re-opened until the next day at 10:20 a.m.

A video posted on X by @CrimeWatchTO showed a red vehicle’s front end wreckage lying in a heap on the highway and a big bite taken out of the white cement divider between the east and westbound lanes of traffic.
