EUNICE, La. (KPLC) - A Eunice woman faces attempted murder charges after she intentionally set fire to a home, endangering two children and injuring one of them, officials said.
Falice Anissa Oglesby, 47, faces charges in connection with a house fire on South East Street on May 5, Office of State Fire Marshal spokesperson Ken Pastorick said. Two children were inside the home at the time of the fire.
The Eunice Fire Department requested assistance from SFM investigators, who determined Oglesby had intentionally set the fire, Pastorick said. She was arrested Friday on the following charges:
Attempted second-degree murder (two counts)
Cruelty to juveniles (two counts)
Aggravated arson
Injury by arson
Obstruction of justice.
The home did not have working smoke alarms, Pastorick said. F
